People dedicate beads to dear friends and family. We add the beads to the necklace and enter people’s names into the Journal. (Participants may opt to be entered into the Journal as "anonymous" and retain their privacy.) 

All beads dedicated through your school will make up a separate section of the necklace which can be seen forever on its website. Your students, their friends and families can look up the beads and dedications even years from now and take pride in remembering your school as well as participating in making the world’s longest necklace.
