Fat Tuesday

Who has not heard of Mardi Gras, the exuberant celebration in New Orleans that translates into "Fat Tuesday"?

Here we used beads and components from the traditional "carnival throws" to add color and authenticity.

Having festivals with outrageous costumes and debauchery has long been a part of human culture throughout the world. Whatever the roots of such festivities are - they are always a welcome highlight at a particular time of the year.

This panel was made to keep the spirit of New Orleans alive. It is a spirit of hope and rebuilding, joie-de-vivre and survival.
