By now, the
Neverending Necklace is a staple in the demonstration area of the
Annual Gem Show. Except this time,
those who dedicated beads have broken a record!!
A whopping 712 beads
were dedicated at this show, so it is no wonder that it takes a while
to get them all strung and list your dedications in the journal.
Usually, you can
find the pictures and your dedications online just a couple of days
after the event. However, consider that for each bead, 12
separating beads will be added between your dedicated beads. That
brings the total for strung beads after this event to 9,256.
But it was worth all
Thank you for being
the best crowd ever! And special thanks go to Kelly Azor, who
organizes the demonstration area each year. Without Kelly, things around these
tables would not go as smoothly.
Many thanks go out
to Barbara Ringhiser and Jeff Slutzky, the show chair persons, as well
as the board of the Gem and Mineral Society and all volunteers who
bring this show to life year after year!
