The First Community Swap Meet was
hustling and bustling with activity, and there was much for visitors
to do:
browsing and shopping for clothes,
crafts, collectibles and organic coffee. The Sheriff's office was on
hand to issue special kid's IDs. A "Blood Mobile" was collecting blood
donations from those willing to share their life saving fluid.
There was an opportunity to get a
free Digital Video email recorded, and a DJ provided the very much
appreciated entertainment.
Merchants from that shopping plaza
handed out free samples, coupons or special offers, and the Village of
Wellington was represented with their own tent.
Thanks to the Wellington
Marketplace, the vendors had a perfect venue where they could sell
their wares or display their small businesses.
The brainchild of Bedonna Flesher of
"Nature's Table Cafe", this event was
eagerly awaited by many and it proved to be very successful.
Despite the above average August
temperatures, everybody stayed comfortable and got treated with
refreshing smoothie and frozen yoghurt samples from Nature's Table
Cafe.
Because of that event, the
Neverending Necklace grew by 126 beads or nearly 13 feet.
We're looking forward to see you at
the next Community Swap Meet!
