Also known by the name "Dustmaker", Douglas Crawforth is one of the finest wood turners ever. Doug hails from New Mexico and he sells his wares in galleries as well as online.

Wood becomes as beautiful as gemstones in his skilled hands, and the shapes, finish and design is superior to anything you may have seen. As a full-hearted perfectionist, Doug has designed what he calls "Random Segmenting", a technique you can see on his bead.

Different varieties of wood from around the world are combined in a striking abstract pattern. It is labor intense and can only be made from the passion within.

The bead you see here is the very first bead that Douglas has created and it is a privilege for the Neverending Necklace to have it as a component.
